WATERBURY, CT- The Georgian Court University basketball squad is running out of time for its first victory of the season as the Lions dropped to 0-20 (0-13 CACC) with a 57-48 defeat at Post University Saturday afternoon.

Senior Lauren Staats topped GCU with 17 points in 30 minutes while freshman Brittany Baker contributed 10 points and a game-high nine rebounds. Freshman Jasmine Lewis distributed four assists to go along with her nine points.

Post senior Diaysha Brewington (Lynn, MA) topped all scorers with 18 points (8-for-9 FG) and exceeded her teammates with seven boards.

The Eagles improve to 7-11 (5-6 CACC) on the campaign.

With only six games remaining, the Lions continue to search for its elusive first victory this Thursday when Philadelphia University visits the Wellness Center for a 6:00 PM contest. GCU fell to the Lady Rams, 82-52, on January 6th in Philadelphia.
