Philadelphia, Pa.- The Georgian Court University women's basketball team returned to Central Atantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action Wednesday evening as the Lions traveled to Philadelphia University, suffering a 79-51 set back to the host-Lady Rams.
GCU has now dropped four straight contests and moves to 1-15 on the year (1-9 CACC) while Philadelphia improves to 13-3 (7-2 CACC) in the CACC South Division.
The Lady Rams, after authoring a commanding 46-24 advantage heading into intermission, coasted through the second stanza and out-scored the visitors, 33-27.
Najah Jacobs (Sr.-Philadelphia, Pa.) led the home team with 25 points in 35 minutes of action while
Tori Arnao (Jr.-Newtown, Pa.) added a double-double consisting of 11 points and 11 rebounds for Philly U.
Tahira Matthews (Sr.-Bloomfield, N.J.) paced Georgian Court with her seventh double-double of the campaign, also consisting of 11 points and boards.
The Lions return home Saturday afternoon for another conference contest, this time vs. Dominican College at 1:00 p.m.
