Women Remain Winless on Road With 68-44 Defeat at Felician College

Rutherford, N.J.- Behind the offensive attack of four double-digit scorers, the Golden Falcons of Felician College turned away Georgian Court University, 68-44, Saturday afternoon in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) women's basketball action.

In a contest led by Felician (5-16, 4-10 CACC) from the opening tip, the Golden Falcons opened up a 29-13 advantage with 24 seconds remaining before intermission. The home team's lead remained in double digits throughout the second stanza, peaking at 62-32 with 5:00 left in regulation.  

Ashley Morris (Sr.-West Orange, N.J.) paced the Felician offense with a game-high 19 points, followed by 15 points from Shyla Osmond (Fr.-New Haven, Conn.). Mary Chisolm (Sr. West Babylon, N.Y.) contributed 13 points while Eliana Scanlon (Jr.-New York, N.Y.) authored a double-double consisting of 11 points and 10 boards,

As for GCU, Kiara Colston (Fr.-Burtonsville, Md.) led the way with 11 points in 35 minutes off the bench. Tahira Matthews (Sr.-Bloomfield, N.J.) compiled her 12th double-double of the campaign with 10 points and 13 rebounds.

The Lions (2-19, 2-12 CACC) stay on the road and travel to Holy Family University this Tuesday with a 6:00 p.m. conference game on the slate.
