Natalie Axelsson, remain unscored upon in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) competition as GCU secured its third straight shutout vs. conference foes with the Lions blanking Felician University, 2-0, Saturday evening.
GCU improves to 3-2 on the season (3-0 CACC) while the host-Golden Falcons fall to 1-3 (0-1 CACC).
Melinda MacNeil, in her 49th career contest, collected her first collegiate goal when the senior bended in a corner kick at 36:27 for what would eventually be the game-winner.
Tuere Chisholm-Thomas contributed her second of the season at 79:56 when she crunched an
Anissia Fucci helper into the upper right.
Despite the final outcome, Felician still outshot the Lions, 14-12.
Axelsson earned her third victory of the season for the Lions, collecting five saves in 90 perfect minutes.
Georgian Court looks to make it four in a row Tuesday afternoon at Goldey-Beacom College. Start time is set for 3:00 p.m.
