Brookville, N.Y.- Georgian Court University traveled out of conference Saturday afternoon as the Lions journeyed to Long Island to take on LIU Post in women's hoops action. It would be the host-Pioneers that would blaze the trail to victory as the home team topped GCU by the score of 77-67.
The win snaps a three-game slide for LIU Post (9-10) while GCU drops to 3-15 on the year.

Mikaiya Moore (Fr.-Amityville, N.Y.) jumper snapped a 4-4 stalemate with 6:21 remaining in the first quarter, providing the Pioneers a lead they would not relinquish the rest of the afternoon.Â
After heading into intermission with a modest advantage of 37-30, LIU Post would grow that margin to a game-high 17 points on two separate occasions, once in the third quarter (2:10) and again in the fourth-and-final stanza (5:12).

For the third straight game (and ninth time this season),
Alliyah Berger topped 20 points with a game-high 29 in Saturday's outing.
Destiny Thompson registered her fourth double-double of the year with 11 points and 11 boards.
Jada Atchison added 11 points of her own to go along with seven rebounds and seven assists.
Moore paced the victors with her 17 total points.
Kylie Garrett (So.-Mount Orab, Ohio) followed with 14 points for the Pioneers.
Kristen Olsen (Jr.-Staten Island, N.Y.) tallied 13 points in the winning effort.
GCU returns to CACC action Tuesday evening with a 6:00 p.m. road contest at The University of the Sciences.
