Lakewood, N.J. Head Coach Dino Raso continues to roll out his newest recruits as the Lions are pleased to announce Tommaso Rio as the latest addition to Georgian Court University's men's soccer class of 2022.

"Tommaso has all the tools for a successful career at Georgian Court," stated Coach Raso. "He has tremendous international experience and is an extremely proficient technical player that can create chances for himself and others ... we are more than excited to have him as a Lion!"

The 5'10" attacking midfielder hails from Varese, Italy where he competes for his club team, Piccardo Traversetolo. He is currently the squad's top scorer.

"My decision (to attend Georgian Court) was based on two points: academics and soccer," said Rio. "GCU's academic program struck me as very complete and fulfilling. The most important thing for me was to find a university with a good academic program but, at the same time, also a good level of soccer ... I think Georgian Court is the perfect fit.

The Lions kick off the 2018 campaign on Thursday, August 30 vs. American International College in Garden City, N.Y.
