Bethlehem, Pa.- Georgian Court University returned to competition Saturday as the Lions displayed their talents in the Moravian College Indoor Meet, which took place in the Rausch Field House at Lehigh University.
Women
In women's action,
Charisma Bosley continues to turn heads as the sophomore speedster registered a pair of second-place finishes, which included a time of 8.08 seconds in the the 60m Dash and a mark of 26.67 seconds in the 200m.
Aretha Edwards and
Jennifer Tregillies enjoyed Top-5 placement in the 400m Run. Edwards took second overall, finishing the event in 1:01.19. Tregillies followed with a fifth-place time of 1:02.91.
Stephanie Bock headlined the team in field competition as the junior placed fourth overall in both the Shot Put (12.33m) and the Weight Throw (14.75m).
Samantha Smith compiled a sixth-place finish in the Weight Throw with an effort of 13.86 meters.
Men
On the men's side of the card,
Deshawn Lamar-Baldwin came up just short of his team record of 50.49 seconds in the 400m Dash as the junior finished 6th overall Saturday with a time of 51.91. Teammate
Jake Thoms followed in 10th-place with his mark of 52.74.
Lamar-Baldwin and Thoms also joined forces with
Emeron Hernandez-Mayers and
Ian Knapp to place fourth in the 4 X 400 Relay at 3:28.77.
Henry Jean-Michel collected a ninth-place finish of 9.02 seconds in the 60m Hurdles while the quartet of
Jarod Brzyski,
Nolan Czech,
Hussein Elmeshad and
Liam Solano combined for a for a fourth-place finish of 11:06.47 in the 4,000m Distance Medley Relay.
The GCU trio of
Ryan Roger (3rd-place, 15.68m),
Alejandro Valdez (5th, 14.86m) and
William Goldsborough (6th, 14.77m) each posted Top-10 finishes in the Shot Put while
Dylan Breen (4th, 6.70m),
Joshua Clyburn (6th, 6.56m) and
Cameron Shaw (10th, 6.37m) did the same in the Long Jump.
Evan Boyce nailed an effort of 4.25m in the Pole Vault to take sixth-place overall.
The Lions will next compete in the annual Ursinus College Frank Colden Invitational this Friday in Collegeville, N.Y.
