Box Score Waterbury, Conn. - An Ava Albergo (So.-Longport, N.J.) goal with just 5:26 remaining in regulation snapped a 1-1 stalemate and proved to be the winning tally for Jefferson as the #1 Lady Rams held on to earn the 2019 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Soccer Championship crown.

Jefferson (15-5) now receives an automatic bid to appear in next week's NCAA Division II Championship Regional Tournament. The Lions, with the defeat, see their season end with a record of 14-6-1.

The Lady Rams struck first in the initial stanza when a Georgian Court own goal put the top-seed ahead, 1-0, at 26:10. GCU countered at 38:21 as Dana Fontana netted the equalizer for the Lions.

The score remained securely knotted at 1-1 until the aforementioned Albergo popped in her game-winner for Jefferson. 

Despite the result, Georgian Court landed four players on the All-Tournament squad, including: Alyssa Dias, Anissia Fucci, Marin Kulenguski and Kristen Lister.
