Chukwuebizie Anuamadi (800m Run) and
Cameron Shaw (Long Jump) established new marks in the Georgian Court University record book, and
Jeshurun Devero claimed first-place in the Triple Jump, as the trio played a vital role in leading the Lions to a second-place showing in Saturday's Rider University Invitational.
GCU claimed 136.5 points in event, trailing only the host-Broncs (181.5) in the field of 14 entries.
Anuamadi, for the third time this season. rewrote the team record in the 800m Run with a fifth-place time of 1:54.80 in the event. The time eclipses the freshman's previous program-best of 1:55.93, set last week at the Millersville University Metrics. Fellow frosh,
Cameron Shaw, entered the annals with a seventh-place leap of 6.79 meters in the Long Jump, erasing the previous-high of 6.75, also set last week by
Kennedy Omari in Millersville.
Devero carried the field in the Triple Jump with a leap of 14.11 meters, collecting the Lions' lone top mark of the meet.
DaShawn Lamar-Baldwin finished in 3rd-place with a jump of 13.41 meters, followed by Omari at 12.91 (5th-place).
Cameron Wardle and
Nathan Gill placed second and third, respectively, in the High Jump at 1.94 meters.
Krzysztof Paczesny grabbed second-place in the Javelin with a heave of 55.63 meters, followed by
Kyle Muir at 52.63m (3rd-place).
On the track,
Charles Wolef-Fields took second-place in the 100m Dash at 11.05 seconds. Shaw finished seventh in the event at 11.11. In throws action.
William Goldsborough served as runner-up in the Discus with his effort of 48.16 meters.
Ryan Roger took third in the same event with a throw of 46.73m.
Roger also placed in the Shot Put with a second-place toss of 15.94 meters.
