Shippensburg, Pa. - Three more team records turned over on Wednesday as
Evan Boyce (Pole Vault),
Emeron Hernandez-Mayers (200m Dash) and
Cameron Shaw (Long Jump) each rewrote history for the Georgian Court University Men's Track & Field program Wednesday at the Shippensburg University Invitational.
Boyce cleared a height of 4.55 meters (second-place) in the Pole Vault, eclipsing his previous team-best of 4.45m, set on May 7, 2017. Shaw set the bar in the Long Jump for the second straight week as the freshman landed a leap of 7.01 meters, good for second-place overall. The jump tops his 6.79 meters from Saturday at the Rider Invitational.
Teammates
Dylan Breen (6.88m) and
Kennedy Omari (6.70m) finished in third and fifth-place, respectively, behind Shaw in the rankings.
On the track, Hernandez-Mayers etched his name in the books with a time of 22.40 seconds (fifth-overall) in the 200m Dash. The freshman takes the spot of
Michael Rogers, who set the previous-best of 22.42 seconds on May 3, 2015.
Back in field action,
Cameron Wardle (1.95m) and
Nathan Gill (1.90m) took second and third, respectively, in the High Jump while
Jeshurun Devero recorded a third-place leap of 14.18 meters in the Triple Jump.
Ryan Roger (15.81m),
William Goldsborough (15.59m) and
Alejandro Valdez (15.16m) went one-two-three in the Shot Put.
Krzysztof Paczesny (51.47m) and
Kyle Muir (50.84m) placed back-to-back at second and third place in the Javelin.
