Lakewood, N.J.- The Georgian Court University gentlemen collected their fourth outdoor title in last five years as the Lions topped the field at Sunday's 2019 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Outdoor Championship Meet.
The GCU men compiled 255.50 total points to earn this year's crown as the Lions edged second-place Bloomfield College by 25 overall points (230.50).
Hussein Elmeshad earned Georgian Court's initial All-CACC First Team performance of the day as the junior paced the conference with a first-place time of 4:05.36 in the 1,500m Run.
Henry Jean-Michel did the same in the 110m Hurdles, establishing a new team record of 15.02 seconds. Teammate
Devin Martin, who finished second in the same event with a time of 15.04, owned the previous team-best of 15.15 (Mar. 30, 2019, Monmouth University Opener).
In track competition,
Darius Marrow authored a pair of First-Team efforts with top finishes in both the Discus (47.16m) and the Hammer Throw (43.57m).
Ryan Roger hit the NCAA national qualifying mark with his first-place showing of 16.07m in the Shot Put, while taking second-overall in the Discus (45.39m).
Evan Boyce closes out his collegiate career with a First-Team performance in the Pole Vault as the senior soared to a top height of 3.65m. In his first CACC outdoor meet, freshman
Krzysztof Paczesny performed like a seasoned veteran with his first-place thrust of 46.38m in the Javelin.
