Lewisburg, Pa. -Georgian Court University enjoyed its best showing of the 2020 indoor track & field season thus far as the Lions erased four program records, while
Noah Roach hit the provisional mark in the 60m Dash, at the two-day Bucknell University Bison Open & Multi.
Roach eclipsed the team record he shared with
Charles Wolef-Fields (6.91 seconds) in the 60m Dash as the sophomore speedster fired off a first-place time of 6.86 in the event. The Plainfield, N.J. native, who also placed fifth in the 200m Dash (22.71 seconds), now leads the entire east region in the 60m with his eclipsing of the provisional mark.
Chukwuebizie Anuamadi snared his third career individual team high water mark as the sophomore now owns the GCU record in the 500m Run with his first-place finish of 1:06.95. The effort erases
Daniel Claudeo and his previous-best of 1:07.09 (Feb. 23, 2018) from the annals.
Hussein Elmeshad (2:38.01) and
Jarod Brzyski (2:38.48) placed second and third, respectively, in the 1,000m Run, while the duo joined forces with Anuamadi and
Nolan Czech to smash the previous team record for the Distance Medley (10:43.19) with a first-place completion of 10:25.77.
In field action,
Dylan Breen continues to soar as the sophomore topped all-comers with a first-place leap of 6.88 meters in the long jump.
Dashawn Lamar-Baldwin swipes the team record from teammate
Jeshurun Devero (14.13m, 12/7/19) in the Triple Jump as the senior placed second overall with an effort of 14.21 meters. The aforementioned Devero placed fourth on this day at 13.98m.
Ryan Roger (15.52m) and
Alejandro Valdez (15.36m) took second and third place, respectively, in the Shot Put.
