New Haven, Conn. - The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) released its 2021 Men's Soccer All-Academic Team on December 16, a list that includes no less than seven members of the Georgian Court University squad.
Landry Cheta (Biology, 3.80),Â
Niklas Laenger (chemistry, 3.92), and
Tommaso Rio business administration, 3.72) each earn their third selection to this elite list.Â
Gianluca Cersosimo, who topped the Lions with his 3.96 GPA as a finance major, records his second career All-Academic nod, as do teammatesÂ
Jay Abraham (accounting, 3.95) and
EJ Lucas (history, 3.89).
Jack Guiton closes out his tenure with his first-ever All-Academic acclaim (3.83, marketing).
In order to be named to the CACC All-Academic Team, recipients must have participated in a CACC Championship sport. They must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, be in there second year with the program, and achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.
The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference is an NCAA Division II Conference composed of 13 institutions in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. The member institutions are Bloomfield College, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican (N.Y.) College, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Jefferson, Nyack College, Post University of Waterbury, University of the Sciences, and Wilmington University.
