Lakewood, N.J. - The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference announced today that Georgian Court University's Tallen Smith has been selected as the first CACC Men's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week in 2021 after the freshman netted a pair of tallies in the Lions' Saturday season opener vs. Lake Erie College.

The Milltown, N.J. native registered both of his scoring efforts in a six-goal fourth period for Georgian Court as the Lions calmed the visiting Storm, 12-8, in comeback fashion. Smith also scooped three ground balls in the win.

The Lions (1-0) take to the road for its next outing as they trek to non-conference Molloy College on Wednesday, March 10. Face off is set for 7:00 pm.
