Lakewood, N.J.- Hosting its first regular-season home meet since May 11, 2018, Georgian Court University men's track and field made the most of the occasion as the Lions collected 13 first-place finishes (one of which snapped a team record) in Wednesday's GCU Invite.
Dylan Breen authored the new record book entry as the junior's first-place leap of 7.04 meters established a new program-best in the long jump. The effort erases the Lions' previous-long of 7.01 meters, which was held by
Cameron Shaw since April 17, 2019 (Shippensburg Invite).
In other field competition, newcomer
Vasco Pereira snared the top spot in the triple jump (12.53m) while also placing second in the high jump (1.77m).
Kyle Muir fired a winning javelin throw of 55.91m.
Ryan Roger did the same in all three of his events ... discus (46.25m), hammer (45.37m), and shot put (14.75m).
On the track,
Xavier Seals grabbed a pair of first-place marks by breaking the tape in both the 1,500m (4:05.73) and the 800m (1:55.15).
Henry Jean-Michel (110m Hurdles, 15.97 seconds),
