Ryan Roger snapped the team shot put record, and the Lions collected eight first-place finishes, as Georgian Court men's track & field closed the regular-season outdoor campaign with a strong showing at Friday's Stockton University Osprey Twilight.
Roger, who placed first overall in the event with a throw of 16.74 meters, erased the previous-high of 16.71m, set back on March 23, 2014 by
William Goldsborough. The effort also represents a national-qualifying distance for the junior. The Toms River, N.J. native also secured the top spot in the discus with a toss of 48.52m, and took fourth overall in the hammer throw at 46.66m.
Krzysztof Paczesny and
Kyle Muir placed first and second, respectively, in the javelin with launches of 53.56m and 51.00m.
Joseph Sauchelli took fourth in the event with a mark of 49.88m.
The Lions placed 1-2-3 in the triple jump, courtesy of mighty leaps from
Jeshurun Devero (14.15m),
DaShawn Lamar-Baldwin (13.97m), and
Devin Martin (13.88 m). Lamar-Baldwin also shined in the high jump with a second-place height of 1.85m.
Dylan Breen finished first in the long jump, clearing 6.86m.
Kyle Spector topped all-comers with a first-place time of 10:11.59 in the 3,000m steeplechase.
Noah Roach did the same in the 200m dash with his finish of 22.97 seconds. Not to be outdone,
Chukwuebizie Anuamadi earned a victory in the 800m run at 1:55.20.

The Lions now look ahead to Friday, May 14 when they compete in the 2021 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Outdoor Championships, hosted by Georgian Court University.
