NEW HAVEN, Conn. (Dec. 8, 2022) - The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) announced the final three teams for their 2022 Fall All-Academic Awards. This morning CACC Commissioner Dan Mara announced the All-Academic Teams for Volleyball and Men's and Women's Cross Country.
Combined, Georgian Court totaled eight student-athletes on the All-Academic Team. The Lion volleyball team had seven earning All-Academic honors, second-most in the CACC.
In order to be eligible for the CACC All-Academic Team, student-athletes must meet a certain criteria. They must have completed at least two full semesters at their current institution, whether they are in undergraduate or graduate school. This is different from the College Sports Communicators (CSC, formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-American team where graduate transfers are eligible in their first semester at the new institution. They also need to have a minimum grade point average of 3.50 at the end of the immediate preceding term (may include summer terms).
