KUTZTOWN, PA (Sept. 13, 2025) - Georgian Court Cross Country competed for the second time this season running at the Kutztown Division II Challenge. Both the men and women were in action with the women placing eighth and the men ninth.
Zachary Spoonire led the men. He ran a personal-best time for 8K completing the course in 28:22. He placed 43rd in the field of 101. Behind Spoonire were
Ryan Pettrow and
Joe Jamolawicz. Pettrow placed 61st running 29:19.19 and Jamolawicz was 69th in 29:48.8.
Matthew Schaub and
Luke McCormick rounded out the Lions top-five. Schaub ran 30:03.10 to place 73rd and McCormick was 93rd in 32:09.8.
Colin Broadbelt competed for the Lions as well, running 34:15.40.
The women had five race.
Sophia Mauro led the squad in 60th place running 27:10.1. A few places behind Mauro was
Gwendolyn Morris. She was 68th in 28:25.9.
Nora Sprunger took 75th place finishing the 6K race in 30:43.5.
Brenna Sullivan finished four spots behind her in 79th with a time of 33:30.8. Completing the top-five for the Lions was
Kerry Ann Hohenshilt. She ran 36:32.0.
The hosts Kutztown were the team champions on the men's side with 42 points and the women's with 47 points. West Chester's Josh Miller was the individual champion as he ran 25:54.9. Maura Lenhart won for the women in a time of 22:34.9.Â
Georgian Court races once again next weekend. They're running in Galloway, NJ at the Stockton Osprey Open.Â
