Last Time Out
• Georgian Court had a tremendous week last week at the West Chester Golden Ram Invitational. Both teams finished in third place. 
• Freshman Sophia Mauro won the women's 5K in 20:48.7. She was the first Lion to win a race since Kaitlyn Bragan in 2019.
• Most competitors for GCU set personal-best times. For the women that included fellow freshman Nora Sprunger.
• The men also ran a 5K at West Chester. Ryan Pettrow and Zachary Spoonire finished inside the top-10 and run sub 17 minutes.
Matthew Schaub, Luke McCormick and Colin Broadbelt all ran personal-best times.

CACC Award Winners
• With her race win on Saturday, Sophia Mauro was named this week's co-CACC Runner and Rookie of the Week. 

Previously at Rowan
• Last year at this meet, the GCU men were the top finishing Division II team.
Nolan Kus had a top-10 finish. Ryan Pettrow and Zach Spoonire ran then-PR times in the 8K.
• Georgian Court's women's squad placed 10th overall. Amirah Beasley ran a season-best time in the 6K.
• In 2023 at this meet, both Alec Valle and Xavier Seals broke the school's 8K record and Kyle Spector also had a top-10 finish. 

About the Meet
• The course is mostly flat with soft surfaces (grass and dirt trails). 
• This is the 10th annual Rowan Border Battle.
• The day features the Division III Championship races in the morning followed by the open races where GCU is competing. 
• Meet records for the men is 23:19.9 for 8K done by Isaac Garcia-Cassani of SUNY Geneseo in 2016 and 20:17.6 for the women's 6K done by Amy Regan of Stevens Institute of Technology in 2016.

• Awards will take place at 2 pm following the meet.
• The course is fan and spectator friendly.
