Lions Play Back-to-Back to Start Thanksgiving Week

LAKEWOOD, NJ (Nov. 19, 2023) - Georgian Court Women's Basketball plays twice to start the holiday week.

• Monday's game will be aired live on the YES Network. You can also watch with a subscription to ESPN+.
• Tuesday's game will have a free-to-view stream on the UDC portal page of the ECC Sports Network. 

Tickets
• Tickets for Monday's game at Fordham are $10 for adults, $7 for youth/senior/military. 
• At UDC, tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for military/seniors

Previously vs. Fordham
• This is the first ever meeting between Georgian Court and Fordham since becoming an NCAA Division II institution in 2002. 

Previously vs. UDC
• The Lions and the Firebirds met last year for just the second time in program history.
• Georgian Court won that game 82-72.
• Each team has one win in the two-game all-time series.
• Last year, the Lions trailed by two at the half, but outscored UDC 23-14 in the third quarter to take control in an 82-72 win.
• Five Lions were in double-figures led by Erika Aspajo's 19. 
Imani Gillette had one of her best games scoring 15 with 17 rebounds. 

Last Time Out
• Georgian Court came back multiple times in a close game at Kutztown, but ultimately fell short, 74-66.
• GCU trailed by as much as 10 in the third quarter, but rallied and took a brief lead in the fourth.
• The Lions though got in foul trouble and Kutztown took 19 free throws in the final 10 minutes.
• The game itself saw 61 combined free throw attempts and 46 fouls called.
• Georgian Court shot .500 from behind the arc going 7-14.
Safiatu Kolliegbo scored a team-best 24 points with seven rebounds. Erika Aspajo added 17. 

Individual Milestones
• Erika Aspajo is one three-pointer away from 50. 
• Paula Perez-Fabregas needs eight points to reach 100.
• Leah Snisky is eight rebounds shy of 50. 

CACC Leaders
• Safiatu Kolliegbo is fourth in the league scoring 19 points per game. She also second in three-pointers, free throws and third in field goals made.
• Both Kolliegbo and Erika Aspajo are tied for the league lead with 6.0 defensive rebounds per game. 
• Erika Aspajo is fifth with 11 assists. 
• Marta Guilera's 2.7offensive rebounds per game ranks 10th.
Paula Perez-Fabregas has a 4:1 assist-to-turnover ratio which ranks fourth. 
• Georgian Court is fifth in both field goal and three-point field goal percentage in the CACC.

About Fordham
• Fordham is 2-2 this season and 2-1 when playing at home.
• The Rams have dropped two straight though, including a 58-44 loss against Manhattan in the "Battle of the Bronx"
• Fordham is shooting 37% overall and just 22% from distance while making 31-of-50 free throws.
• Fordham has found success rebounding with a +2.5 rebounding margin and nearly 38 rebounds per game.
• Turnovers have been an issue as the Rams are averaging nearly 21 per contest. They had 20 or more in three of four games.
• Two Rams are in double-figures this season with Emy Hayford's 14 points per game leading the team. Taylor Donaldson is scoring 13 per game.
• Hayford is shooting 42% overall and 36% from three.
• Aminata Ly leads the Rams with 6.8 rebounds per game while chipping in seven points. 

About the University of the District of Columbia
• UDC won their first three games of the season and are 3-0.
• They started out with wins over CACC opponents Goldey-Beacom, Wilmington and Chestnut Hill.
• Before the start of the season, UDC was picked to finish third in the ECC after a 15-13 overall and 10-6 conference mark last season.
