NEW HAVEN, Conn. (Nov. 6, 2023) - Ahead of their CACC Quarterfinal round game, Georgian Court Men's Soccer freshman Fabio Krissler has been named the Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference.

Krissler started both games in goal for the Lions last week playing 160 minutes. He allowed just one goal and made nine saves.

Needing a point to secure a spot in the CACC Tournament, Krissler posted a shutout of Chestnut Hill making four saves in a scoreless draw. He then allowed just one goal making five saves in GCU's regular season finale against Bloomsburg.

This is the Lions third CACC Rookie of the Week award this season and the third different Lion to earn it. Gijs Van Eif and Cole Sullivan were named the CACC Rookie of the Week in back-to-back weeks in October.

Georgian Court is back on the pitch this afternoon in their CACC Tournament Quarterfinal. The seven-seeded Lions play at No. 2 seed Felician at 5 p.m.
