VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (March 11, 2023) - Day two of the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships saw another Georgian Court jumper take to the runway. Today it was Jeshurun Devero's turn to compete in the triple jump.

Devero, competing in his first career NCAA Championship meet, finished 13th in the field of 16 with a best-mark of 47-3 (14.40m). 

Devero entered the meet as the final competitor selected in the field of 16. He was jumping from heat number one of two. On his first attempt, Devero got an opening mark of 45-1.75 (13.76m). His best jump came on his second attempt, the only one over 14 meters. On his final attempt, Devero did not see an improvement, jumping 45-5.75 (13.86m). After the first round of jumps, Devero sat 13th with only the top-nine advancing to finals. 

The national meet concludes an indoor season for Devero that saw him set a new Georgian Court record in the triple jump - 49-4.25 (15.04m), compete in his first NCAA meet and win the triple jump at the ECC Championship for the second consecutive year.

The outdoor season will get underway in two weeks, March 24-25 at the Monmouth Spring Opener.
