NEW HAVEN, Conn. (May 1, 2023) - Georgian Court specialist Justin Iannarone has played a large part in Georgian Court's 7-0 CACC season. He was recently named to the All-CACC Second Team and for the second time this season has been selected as the conference's Defensive Player of the Week.

Iannarone helped the Lions capture the 2023 regular season championship with a perfect 7-0 league record following their 17-11 win over Dominican last weekend. Iannarone was again a force in the face-off circle winning 14-of-21 draws with nine ground balls.

This is Iannarone's second CACC Defensive Player of the Week honor. He finished the season with a 60.7% face-off winning percentage going 167-275. He was a plus for the Lions in 12 of 15 games played.

The Lions are the No. 1 seed in this weekend's CACC Tournament. They'll take on the winner of No. 4 Post and No. 5 Dominican Friday, May 5 at 12 p.m. from Waterbury, Conn.
