What to Watch For
• An NCATA meet is a team competition consisting of six events. The first event is compulsories, followed by three heats within the acro event, followed by the pyramid event and then halftime. After halftime, there will be the toss event, the tumbling event, and the team event. A running score will be kept throughout the meet. The team with the most cumulative points at the end of all six events is the winner of the meet.
• Teams submit a start value before heats and three judges determine the score of each heat. Heat scores are added up and the team with the highest score after all six events is the winner.
What is a Tri-Meet?
• A tri-meet works very similarly to a dual meet.
• Instead of two teams competing head-to-head, there are three teams.
• All three teams will compete just once in their events for the judges to score.
• Georgian Court's score in an event will then be compared to both LIU and Caldwell.
• Should GCU have the highest team score, they'd be 2-0. If their score is greater than one, they'd go 1-1 for the tri-meet.
Last Time Out
• Georgian Court had their final road meet of the season traveling to take on Iona.
• The Gaels defeated the Lions 261.61-126.60.
• In the acro heat, GCU scored a season-best total and all three heats were also season-best scores.
• Georgian Court also scored a new season-best in the pyramid scoring 23.70.
• Unfortunately, the Lions were unable to compete in the team event which drastically lowered their score.
