LAKEWOOD, NJ (Jan. 27, 2025) - Two Georgian Court basketball student-athletes put up career-best point totals last week and earned this week's Kessler Athletes of the Week.
Kessler is the official physical therapy partner of Georgian Court Athletics. Their team of movement experts will be on campus to provide athletic training services to the student-athletes. With over 10 physical therapy centers in the surrounding community, students, faculty and staff can experience the power of physical therapy close to campus.
Cam Edmonds had not only his best day, the best day ever for a Georgian Court Men's Basketball player last week at Goldey-Beacom. The junior put up a new school record 48 points, hitting 11-22 from the field and going 22-28 at the free throw line. His 48 points are the fourth-most in the history of the CACC and his free throw makes and attempts are new GCU and CACC record. Edmonds' 48 points are also the second-most in a game this season in Division II while his 22 field goals and 28 attempts are Division II highs. Edmonds shattered the previous Georgian Court single-game record and became the first Lion to ever score 40 in a game.
Julia Whesper also scored a career-high as Georgian Court went 1-1 last week. Her two-game totals saw her shoot 64.3% overall hitting on 9-14 from the field. She set a new career-best putting up 18 against Dominican on 7-11 shooting. Whesper also contributed five rebounds, four assists and two steals, with just two turnovers in the two GCU games last week.
