Previously vs. Southern Connecticut
• These two teams are familiar foes this time of year. This will be the fifth straight season they've met in early November.
• All-time, the Lions are 1-5 against Southern Connecticut. They got a win in the 2021-22 season, but have dropped the last three.
• Last season, the Lions were outscored the entire game. The owls exploded from the start, outscoring the Lions 59-12 in the first half alone.

Jade Dickinson walked away with six points, three blocks, and three steals.
• SCSU shot 49% from the floor and 43% from the three-point line. The Lions shot just 23% from the floor and 18% from the three.
• The Lions allowed 100 points in a game for the first time since 2005.

• The two teams have only met twice, the last time being 2018.
• Georgian Court has dropped each of their two matches with the Falcons.
• Playing in New Haven seven years ago, Georgian Court lost every quarter against the Falcons.

Preseason Rankings
• Coming into the season, the Lions were picked to finish ninth in the CACC South Division, which is where they ended last year.
• Bentley was picked one in the NE10 preseason poll and SCSU was picked two.
2024-25 Outlook
•
Imani Gillette is the veteran on this team, having played three years in the blue and gold. Last year, she averaged 9.9 ppg and 6.5 rebounds.
•
Tyra Lovelock is returning, who started and played every game for the Lions last season. Lovelock averaged 30 minutes a game last season.
• Also back are
Niyell McCargo,
Jade Dickinson,
Karissa Smedley, Samantha Jones, and Alexi Hoy who all started 10+ games last year.
• The team also features two in-conference transfers
Amyah Bray, who transferred from Caldwell and
Farrah White from Goldey-Beacom.
The Schedule
• Georgian Court will log plenty of travel miles in the first two months of the season. They're home just two times before the end of the 2025 calendar year.
• After their opening weekend trip to Connecticut, the Lions continue on the road at Bloomsburg on November 19th.
• They'll then embark on a trip to Florida, playing two games against Palm Beach Atlantic and Nova Southeastern.
• The Lions finally return home December 6th to face Caldwell. CACC play starts on the road December 3 at Holy Family.
• The CACC remains tough with home-and-home matches with South Division opponents and single games against the CACC North Division.
About Southern Connecticut
• Following their season opening win last year against the Lions, SCSU finished 19-11 and 11-9 in the NE10.
• The Owls had a first-round by in the NE10 playoffs. They beat Pace in the quarterfinals and then fell to Bentley in the semi-finals.
• The Owls lost a few crucial seniors who played key roles in their success last year. Delaney Haines averaged 16.9 for the Owls last season. Along with Katie Williamson who averaged 14.5 ppg.
• The Owls return three players who started every game last season. Senior Hope Fox is back after averaging 11 points per game. Senior Rheyna Steinhauer also returns following a strong year in which she averaged 8.3 points and 5.6 rebounds. Meanwhile, Jillian Martin, who ran the offense for the Owls, contributed 6.8 points per game and will once again play a key role in directing the team's attack.
• Last season, the Owls shot 39% overall and 33% from three while making 73% at the free throw line.
• They out rebounded opponents and held teams to about 60 points per game.
• The Owls got a bid into the NCAA tournament and lost to St. Anselm in the first round.
About Bentley
• Bentley finished the season 33–2, losing only their final game and one other during the year. They lost to Adelphi in November, then went on an incredible 29-game winning streak.
• They were picked to finish first in the NE10 preseason poll.
• Bentley captured the NE10 title last season before advancing to the NCAA Elite Eight, where their impressive run ended with a loss to Union (Tenn.)
• Bentley graduated several key players from last year's roster, including leading scorer Maggie Whitmore, who averaged about 13 points per game. Kylie Ducharme departs after averaging 12 points per game and 8.3 rebounds.In addition, Brooke Obar, who started every game for the Falcons, has also graduated, leaving significant experience to replace.
• Bentley shot 45% from the floor and 37% from the three.
•Although the Falcons lost several key players, they return some important pieces from last year's squad. Cassidy Yeomans is back after averaging 7.7 points per game, providing steady production on both ends of the floor. Joining her is Niya Morgen, a sharpshooter who shot 48% from three while averaging 11 points per game.
