Georgian Court Athletics Raise More than $50,000 in Fall Fundraising Challenge

LAKEWOOD, NJ (Nov. 13, 2025) – Georgian Court Athletics put forth a fundraising challenge to their teams and supporters to overwhelming success. As a result of the Fall Fundraising Challenge, Georgian Court Athletics is proud to announce that $50,204.34 was raised with 1,060 unique and generous donors.

"We are extremely thankful to all of our donors that made this fundraising challenge a success," commented Director of Athletics, Dan Sempkowski. "Whether they were donating to the 'Pride in the Stands' bleacher initiative, or an individual team, their funds will truly make a difference for this department.  I am also thankful to the coaches, staff, and student-athletes who spent their time selling Georgian Court Athletics.  We look forward to the improvements that are both physical and in the student-athlete experience."

The Fall Fundraising Challenge was an initiative for all Georgian Court teams to participate in raising money during the months of September and October. In true GCU Athletic fashion, prizes were awarded to teams that raised the most money and had the most donors.

After all the calculations, we're excited to announce that Women's Lacrosse was the overall winner, raising $11,092 from 323 donors. Baseball raised the second-most at $10,882.09 and Volleyball had the second-most raised per student-athlete at almost $400 per student. Women's Basketball with $5,794.75 was third in amount raised and donors per student. In total, 10 teams raised more than $1,000 and four raised more than $5,000.

Speaking about the challenge, Georgian Court Interim Vice President for Institutional Advancement Toni-Ann McLaughlin said "I'm deeply grateful to our student-athletes, coaches, and staff for their dedication and enthusiasm during this fundraising challenge, and to the many donors whose generosity made it a success. This effort reflects the spirit of teamwork and commitment that defines our athletics program. Together, the teams not only raised resources that will directly enhance the student-athlete experience but have also strengthened the sense of community and pride that makes our university so special."

In addition to the many thank you's to all of our donors and supporters for making this a tremendous success, Georgian Court would like to extend a special token of gratitude to Stouts Transportation for their $20,000+ Sponsorship pledge.

While the challenge may have ended, it's never too late to donate. The 'Pride in the Stands' Bleacher initiative is ongoing throughout the academic year and your contribution can be immortalized on the campaign plaque or on individual seats.
