NEW HAVEN, Conn. (April 25, 2025) - The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) kicked off their 2024-25 Winter Academic Awards with Women's Basketball Friday afternoon as the league put out their All-Academic Women's Basketball team. 

The Lions saw three earn a spot on the team. In order for individuals to qualify for the All-Academic Team, student-athletes must have completed a minimum of two semesters at their current institution with a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.50. They must also be a second-year student-athlete and have used a season of NCAA competition during the current season. 

Georgian Court saw Jessenia Edwards, Niyell McCargo and Karissa Smedley all make the team for the first time.

Edwards is a sophomore with a 3.52 GPA in Exercise Science. McCargo carries a 3.95 GPA in Psychology and Smedley has a 3.96 GPA in Mathematics/Education: K-12.
