LOUISVILLE, Ky. (May 20, 2025) - A pair of Georgian Court Men's Lacrosse players were honored by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) this afternoon.
Brett Bridges and
Vincent Burkhart made the 2025 All-Region Team.
This is the second consecutive season Bridges and Burkhart have been named All-Region Honorable Mention. They become just the second and third Lions to ever make multiple All-Region teams, joining Daniel Burnham. It's the fifth straight season GCU has had at least one All-Region selection.
Bridges made the All-CACC First Team for the third consecutive season. Bridges had another tremendous offensive season leading the team with 51 goals and 76 points. During the season, he set the GCU school records for career goals and total points. Bridges scored a point in all but one game this season and a goal in all but two. He's scored multiple goals 10 times, including eight against CACC opponents. Bridges is a strong two-way attacker who helps out defensively when needed. He finished the year with 37 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers.
Burkhart was also a three-time All-CACC recipient and is the first goaltender at GCU to make multiple All-Region teams. Burkhart put together another outstanding season with a .530 save percentage and 11.89 goals against average. Those numbers improved during conference play with a .591 save percentage and 9.03 goals against average. He won 12 games and made 249 saves which led the CACC. He's made double-figure saves 17 times and reached a high of 20 saves in a single game. In the CACC Tournament, Burkhart had a 60% save percentage with a 9.89 goals against average to earn the Tournament MVP award.
