INDIANAPOLIS (June 18, 2025) - This week the College Sports Communicators (CSC) released their Academic All-District Team in the "At-Large" category. The only NCAA sport Georgian Court sponsors that falls under the "At-Large" umbrella is Men's and Women's Lacrosse. 

The 2025 Academic All-District® At-Large Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

The CSC requires both academic and athletic standards to maintain to be eligible for the Academic All-District Team. Student-athletes must have at least a cumulative GPA of 3.50 and be of sophomore or high academic standing. Nominees must have also competed in 90% of an institutions games or started at least 66% of games. 

There were a half-dozen from Georgian Court to make the Academic All-District Team. Millan Webster is the only Lion who previously made the team. Vincent Burkhart, Vincent Burns, Doug Mackenzie, Joe Murphy and Brodie Seaborn all made it for the first time. 

Burkhart just finished his third year at Georgian Court with a 3.54 GPA in Marketing. He's been one of the premier goalies in Division II since he arrived in Lakewood and this year finished 12-7 in net with a 53.8% save percentage and 11.89 goals against average. He made the All-CACC Second Team for the third straight season.

Burns got a 4.0 this spring semester to raise his cumulative GPA to a 3.92 while studying Business Administration. The junior played in all 19 games for the Lions, starting five while scoring eight goals with eight assists. He also picked up nine ground balls and caused two turnovers.

Mackenzie had a terrific season for Georgian Court despite missing some games late in the season. He's a junior with a 3.51 GPA in Business Administration. Mackenzie finished second on the Lions with 34 goals scored and third with 45 points playing in 16 games and starting 14. Defensively, he also caused seven turnovers and picked up 10 ground balls.

Murphy graduated this spring with a degree in Exercise Science. His 3.8 GPA from last semester helped get him across the 3.50 standard to make the CSC Academic All-District Team with a 3.51 cumulative GPA. Murphy made his third All-CACC Team this season as a defender who played in all 19 games, starting 18 with 45 ground balls and 28 caused turnovers. 

Seaborn broke out on the field for Georgian Court in his third season with the Lions. The Business Administration major has a 3.68 cumulative GPA. He set new career-highs scoring 25 goals with 15 assists while adding 25 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers. 

Senior Millan Webster makes his third CSC Academic All-District Team. The senior graduated with a 3.96 GPA in Exercise Science. He was named the CACC Top-17 Award winner as the student-athlete with the highest GPA at the Championship site. On the field, Webster scored 15 goals with seven assists, nine ground balls and six caused turnovers. His overtime game-winning goal sent Georgian Court into the CACC Championship finals which they won to advance to their first-ever NCAA National Tournament.

In addition to making the Academic All-District Team, Burkhart and Murphy were selected as CSC Academic All-America finalists. They'll advance to the national ballot to be voted on and released later this summer.
