How to Watch
• Thursday's meet is available to watch via a free-to-view broadcast on the Georgian Court portal of the CACC Digital Network, powered by HUDL.
Acrobatics and Tumbling Refresh
• An NCATA meet is a team competition consisting of six events. The first event is compulsories, followed by three heats within the acro event, followed by the pyramid event and then halftime. After halftime, there will be the toss event, the tumbling event, and the team event. A running score will be kept throughout the meet. The team with the most cumulative points at the end of all six events is the winner of the meet.
• Teams submit a start value before heats and three judges determine the score of each heat. Heat scores are added up and the team with the highest score after all six events is the winner.

• It has been 10 months since GCU Acrobatics and Tumbling has competed.
• Their last meet was against Caldwell, where they fell 216.150-228.425.

The Team
• Georgian Court features a team of 20 in 2025. There are three general "positions" in Acrobatics and Tumbling: Top, Base and Tumbler.
• This year's team welcomes back 13 from last year's squad while adding 7 new student-athletes.
• This is the program's third year, so athletes such as
Ava Margolies,
Gianna Mirassol, Kimberly Schadewald, Louanne Legregin, Emily Miller, Caroline Yacullo, and
Katelyn Meyer all return with experience after having been competing for three years.
• The team brought in seven new faces
Bailey Bonilla, Elizabeth Angell, Gianna Sgobbo, Amy Groeschke, Isabella Jones, Hannah Kovel, and
Marilena Acosta.
The Coaches

Magdeline Gigliotti former assistant coach, has been promoted to the head coach of the team.
•
Gigliotti was a member of the Fairmont State Acrobatics and Tumbling team for four years, graduating in 2024. She attended Northern Burlington County Regional High School in Chesterfield, NJ, where she was an accomplished gymnast, competing United States Association of Independent Gymnastic Clubs (USAIGC) Gold and went undefeated as a senior on floor and beam.
• As an assistant coach last year, she played a pivotal role in the success the team had. The Lions won three matches a year ago, setting numerous team records in the process. That includes scoring above 200 team points for the first time, and reaching 200 in each of the last four meets.
