GCU Drops First Two Conference Games of 2026

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA (March 16, 2026) - Georgian Court Baseball finally got underway in CACC play Sunday afternoon. It was a Lions vs. Lions doubleheader as Georgian Court played two at Lincoln (PA). While GCU turned in some good pitching performances, the offense struggled and Georgian Court fell in both ends of the twin bill.

Game 1 - Lincoln 10, Georgian Court 3
How it Happened

• The Georgian Court hitter's best offense was staying patient. They drew nine walks, but collected just one hit.
• Lincoln scored 10 runs on nine hits
• While GCU did walk nine time, they also struck out 13. Georgian Court pitchers fanned six while walking five.
• After two scoreless innings, Georgian Court opened the scoring with a run in the third as Brian Guzman's single brought in Frankie Noviello.
• Even thought the Lions plated two more in the inning, that was GCU's only hit of the afternoon.
• A bases-loaded hit by pitch brought in another run and GCU made it 3-0 as Guzman scored on a wild pitch.
• Lincoln added single runs in the third and fourth to make it a one-run game.
• They then exploded for eight in the seventh to take their first lead. A two-out triple from Aaron Graves was teh biggest hit of the inning that featured three unearned runs.
• GCU drew three walks in the final two innings, but couldn't bring in a run as the game ended 10-3.

Lion Stat Leaders
Donovan Gevers had a nice start allowing two runs on five hits in 5.1 innings while striking out four.
Brian Guzman had GCU's only hit, RBI and scored a run.
Oliver Santana stole two bases and scored a run.
Frankie Noviello walked twice and scored.

For Lincoln
• Ethan Craig fired six innings striking out 10 and allowing three runs on one hit.
• Fredrick Perry followed with three scoreless innings and earned the win.
• Aaron Graves II was a home run shy of the cycle and drove in two runs.
• Jaden Greenide finished 2-5 with a run and an RBI.

Game 2 - Lincoln 3, Georgian Court 2 (7 innings
How it Happened

• Pitching dominated in game two with just five total runs and eight hits.
• For the second straight game, the Lions held a late lead, but couldn't hang on.
• Georgian Court hitters picked up four singles, drew eight walks and were hit by three pitches but crucially left nine runners on base.
• Lincoln got the scoring started with an RBI ground ball in the opening frame.
• GCU scored both their runs in the fourth. Matteo Perciballi's infield single tied the game as Brian Guzman came in to score.
Frank Marra gave the Lions a 2-1 lead getting hit with the bases loaded.
• The lead only lasted a half inning as Lincoln tied the game with a two-out single in the bottom of the inning.
• The game remained scoreless until the seventh and final inning. It wasn't a pretty one for GCU as they walked each of the first four batters, allowing the winning run to score without Lincoln ever putting the ball in play.

Lion Stat Leaders
Evan Corso threw the ball well allowing two runs on six hits in four innings with five strikeouts.
Matteo Perciballi singled and drove in a run.
Brian Guzman, walked, singled and scored a run.

For Lincoln

• Pedro Santos worked around a two-out walk in the seventh to earn the win.
• Aaron Graves II singled, walked twice and scored a run.

News and Notes
• Georgian Court had two hits in 14 at bats with a runner in scoring position. Lincoln was 4-17 in those situations.
• In two games, GCU left 18 runners on base.
• Three of Georgian Court's last six losses have come by just one run. They're 0-3 this season in one-run games.
