LAKEWOOD, NJ (March 17, 2026) - Georgian Court Men's Lacrosse sophomore Malik Alzubi picked up a national honor this week. The defenseman earned a spot on the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Team of the Week for his performance last week.

In two games where GCU went 1-1, Alzubi picked up six ground balls and caused six turnovers.

Alzubi finished with three ground balls in each of the Lions two games. In GCU's win against Bridgeport, Alzubi matched a team-high this season causing four turnovers.

This is Alzubi's first USILA Team of the Week honor in his career and the first for GCU this season. 

Georgian Court has two games coming up in the next three days. They start on the road tomorrow afternoon in a non conference game against Molloy. They get back to CACC action Friday hosting Dominican at 2 pm.
