Busy Midweek Sees Georgian Court Play at ShoreTown Ballpark

LAKEWOOD, NJ (April 14, 2026) - For the final time this season, Georgian Court plays at ShoreTown Ballpark. That comes on the heels of their series finale with Chestnut Hill.

• Lots of sunshine this week. Temperatures reaching into the 80s at game time. 

Previously vs. Chestnut Hill
• Georgian Court got their first ever win over the Griffins last week.
• The teams split a doubleheader in Jackson with GCU taking game two, 10-8.
• The Griffins led 8-6 in the third, but GCU scored four unanswered runs for the comeback win.
Brian Guzman's two RBI double gave the Lions the lead for good. 
• Georgian Court's bullpen of Ryan Basham, Jackson Cooper and Evan Corso allowed just one unearned run on three hits with eight strikeouts in 5.2 innings. 

Previously vs. St. Thomas Aquinas
• These teams met twice at the very beginning of the season and played in two close games.
• The first saw the Lions nearly come back from down six in the ninth. They got to within two, but fell 12-10.
• GCU couldn't hold a 7-6 lead in the second game as STAC scored two in the sixth and two in the eighth for an 11-8 win.
Brian Guzman hit well against the Spartans with five hits and four RBI.

Last Time Out
• Following the Lions win over Chestnut Hill, GCU took on defending NCAA East Region champs Felician.
• The Lions were swept in a three-game set with the Golden Falcons.
• They kept the first two games close, losing 4-1 and 4-3.
Brady Parks threw a complete game in the series opener and after allowing four first inning runs, threw seven straight scoreless frames.
• Game three at home was the high-scoring affair with Felician winning 17-10.
• All but four of the 27 runs scored were scored in the first five innings. 

Who's Hot?
• Jack Greenspan has continued to hit well and finished last week with consecutive multi-hit games. 
Arian Lunar continues to find ways to produce. He has a hit in six of his last seven games and has driven in five in his last four. 
• Ryan Basham has allowed three earned runs in his last 9.1 innings pitched.
Tyler Charzewski has allowed two earned runs in his last eight innings in relief. 
Brady Parks threw his first career complete game against Felician. 
• Six of Evan Corso's last seven outs recorded have been via strikeout.

• GCU is being patient at the plate and their 5.6 walks per game lead the CACC. 
• The Lions improved defense is sixth in the CACC with a .954 fielding percentage. 
• Oliver Santana ranks eighth in stolen bases. 
• Brian Guzman and Frankie Noviello are both in the league's top-5 for walks. 
• JR Osmond leads the league in hit by pitches and shares the lead in sacrifice flies. 
Donovan Gevers is 11th in the league in innings pitched. 

About the Opponents
Chestnut Hill Griffins
• The Griffins have cooled off after a 7-1 stretch and have now lost three of four. 
• Their offense, which was routinely putting up 10+ runs, now has just one 10-run game in their last eight. 
• They are scoring the fourth most runs per game still in the CACC at 7.7 per contest. 
• CHC is third in the league hitting .309 as a team.
• The Griffins do play plenty of high-scoring games. They have a staff ERA of 9.43, which is towards the bottom of the league.
• Wyatt Spinks has been mashing for the Griffins hitting .400 with four home runs, nine doubles and three triples.
• Michael Pascoe is their big bopper with seven home runs and a team-high 41 RBI.
• Pascoe also takes the mound and has made five starts and thrown a team-high 34.1 innings with a 7.86 ERA. 
• While the Griffins have a .949 fielding percentage, they have already turned 35 double plays. 

St. Thomas Aquinas Spartans
• The Spartans sit at 21-12 overall and are 10-8 in the ECC this season.
• They lead the ECC having hit 31 home runs with 8.1 runs per game.
• Spartan pitchers have a 6.78 ERA.
• Four Spartans are hitting better than .300 led by Nick Oelcher with a .394 average.
• CJ Cumbo has a team-best 33 RBI with a .347 average.
