About the Opponent
Post Eagles
• Post enters the weekend also having won two straight and are 21-19 overall.
• At 15-9, the Eagles are in fourth place, one spot behind third place Jefferson.
• The Eagles have been the hottest team in the CACC recently, winners of eight of their last 10.
• Post is in the upper half of most stat categories in the CACC. They're hitting .298 as a team which ranks fifth overall.
• They're one of the stronger defensive teams with a .956 fielding percentage and their 27 doubles plays turned rank second.
• The offense is more predicated on putting the ball in play rather than power. They have just 12 home runs this season, fewest in the league.
• The pitching staff has a 6.87 ERA, but can get into trouble issuing free passes. They've walked 211 batters this year.
• Justin Hascup is likely to get the ball. He's started nine games this season with a 5.27 ERA.
• Sebastian Velasquez, one of the league leaders in ERA, threw five innings Tuesday and would be on three days rest if he pitched Saturday.
• The offense is led by Manny Contreras. He has half of the team's 12 home runs and has driven in 37 runs. His .680 slugging percentage ranks sixth in the conference.
• Post isn't a big threat on the bases. They have just 55 stolen bases in 40 games played.
