Lions Welcome Challenge from CACC Leaders This Weekend

LAKEWOOD, NJ (April 23, 2026) - This is the final baseball weekend for Georgian Court this season. They welcome in the leaders of the CACC, playing two at home Friday and on the road Sunday.

Schedule and Weather Notes
• The Lions have already moved up their home doubleheader with Wilmington. This was originally scheduled for Saturday before moving to Friday because of Saturday's forecast.
• There is a chance of rain Sunday morning in New Castle which could effect first pitch. 

Previously vs. Wilmington
• Georgian Court played two in Wilmington last season with the Wildcats winning both.
• Wilmington's pitching surrendered just six runs in 16 innings.
Zinny Kemahu launched a home run in game one.
Brady Parks had an effective day on the mound allowing two unearned runs in 2.2 innings pitched. 
• The Lions defense had a tough afternoon, making a combined seven errors in the two games. 

Last Time Out
• Georgian Court picked up their first ever win over Jefferson yesterday.
• GCU split the series with the Rams, winning game one, 6-5.
• The Lions did a lot of scoring early. Of their 11 combined runs, 10 came in either innings one or two.
JR Osmond and Evangelos Spyrogiannis homered for the Lions in game one and Frankie Noviello broke a 5-5 tie in the eighth with a two-out RBI double.
• The Lions went up early again in game two, but Jefferson used a pair of seven-run innings to earn a split with a 15-5 win.

• Frank Marra has a hit in seven straight and is 13 for his last 26.
• Brady Parks has allowed eight runs in his last 15 innings. 
Frankie Noviello has at least one hit in six of his last seven games and drove in three runs at Jefferson. 
JR Osmond has a hit in three straight with two extra-base hits. 
• Evan Corso has allowed one run in his last four outings with three saves. 
• Matt DiOttavio is 11-30 over his last 10 games played. 
Jack Greenspan is riding a four-game hitting streak.

Wilmington Wildcats
• Wilmington leads the CACC with a 31-14 overall mark and a 22-7 record in the CACC.
• With four games left, they have a three-game lead and can clinch the CACC regular season championship this weekend.
• They're playing well on both sides of the ball, leading the league hitting .339 and are second in staff ERA at 5.60.
• In the NWBCA region rankings, Wilmington ranks fourth in the East. They are also receiving votes in the ABCA National Coaches Poll.
• The Wildcats like to run and their 139 stolen bases lead the CACC and are 10th in Division II.
• On the mound, Wilmington is racking up the K's, their 9.8 strikeouts per nine innings is sixth in the country.
• Closer Scott Borgmann has been lights out with a 0.91 ERA and 56 strikeouts in 39.2 innings. 
• Their top-two starters could take the mound this weekend. Xavier Cortez last pitched April 18. He has a 4.99 ERA and is 5-2 on the year with 47 strikeouts to just 16 walks.
• Chase Fleming is the ace of the staff with a 3.12 ERA in a team-high 49 innings. He's 6-1 on the year and last pitched seven scoreless innings on Wednesday.
• Fleming is a two-way players who's also hitting .373.
• Tyler Pirrung is who you want to keep off the bases. His 35 stolen bases lead the CACC. 
• Cam Ttego is among the league leaders in slugging percentage and his 103 total bases are third.
