LAKEWOOD, NJ (July 14, 2026) - Georgian Court Men's Lacrosse was honored for their work in the classroom, both individually and as a team by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA). The USILA released their 2026 Scholar All-Americans and their 2026 Team Academic Awards. 

Representing Georgian Court as a Scholar All-American was senior Vincent Burkhart. In addition to Burkhart's individual success, the Lions as a team earned the 2026 USILA Team Scholar Award. 

A Scholar All-American must be nominated by his coach and be a student with a senior year academic standing and a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (4.0 scale). He will have behaved in a manner that has brought credit to himself, his institution, and to college lacrosse both on and off the field. He must also be an All-American, a member of a North/South team, or an outstanding league or conference player. Please note that simply being a member of the North/South team and/or being All League/Conference does not make the Student-Athlete a lock for the award. Each Individual will be evaluated on a case by case basis by the Scholar AA committee.

Burkhart graduated this spring with a 3.51 GPA while studying Marketing. He will go down as one the finest goalies both at GCU and in the CACC as he is the league's all-time leader in wins and saves. The three-time All-CACC selection ended his career with a mark of 37-28, while making 845 saves with a .541 save percentage and 11.66 goals against average. Twice the Lions recorded double-digit wins with Burkhart between the pipes, including a 12-win 2025 season that saw the Lions win the CACC Championship Tournament and qualify for their first-ever NCAA Tournament. 

As a team, Georgian Court earned their fifth straight USILA Team Academic Award. Teams that finish with a team cumulative GPA greater than a 3.0 earn the award. This year the Lions team GPA stood at 3.36.
