NEW ORLEANS (July 20, 2026) - The end-of-year awards for Track and Field were announced by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) this afternoon. Both of Georgian Court's track teams and a Lion student-athlete made the grade. 

In order for student-athletes to be eligible for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Award, the criteria is as follows: 

• Minimum cumulative grade point average of a 3.25 on a 4.0 scale through the end of the semester of competition. 
• Must have completed at least 24 semester hours/36 quarter hours through the end of the semester of competition at the institution.
• Transfer students and/or graduate students are to include only grades earned at the current nominating institution.
• The student-athlete must have achieved an automatic or provisional qualifying mark (individual or relay event) for either the indoor season or outdoor season.

For the third consecutive season, Georgian Court's Malicah Etienne earned the USTFCCCA All-Academic Award. Etienne is a junior Criminal Justice major with a 3.67 cumulative GPA. He hit a provisional qualifying mark in the discus throwing a personal-best 169-7. Etienne was also the CACC Champion in both the shot put and the discus this season. 

Both the men's and women's programs were recognized for their overall efforts in the classroom. They made the list of USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams. The criteria for teams is as follows:

• The cumulative GPA for all student-athletes on the institution's NCAA Squad List for Indoor and/or Outdoor Track and Field must be 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, certifiable by the institution's registrar. 
• Transfer students and/or graduate students are to include only grades earned at the current nominating institution.

Georgian Court's women's team had a cumulative GPA of a 3.61, while the men were a 3.41. 

Among CACC teams, Georgian Court had the highest men's and women's GPA.
