NEW HAVEN, Conn. (June 26, 2025) - The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) wrapped up a busy awards week announcing members of the All-Academic Team for Track and Field.
In order for student-athletes to be eligible, they must have completed a minimum of two semesters at their current institution with a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.50. They must also be a second-year student-athlete and have competed at the CACC Championship meet either as an individual or as a member of a relay team.
For the second straight year, Georgian Court put 12 on the All-Academic Team. There were seven from the men's team and five from the women.
The only three-time member of the team is Lions senior
Molly Burns. She has a 3.84 GPA after graduating with a degree in accounting and competed as a member of the Lions 4x400m relay at the conference meet.
Sabrina Halk and
Chiamaka Wokocha all earn a spot on the team for the second straight season. Halk is a graduate student in the Integrated Marketing program with a 4.0 GPA as a graduate student. She scored for GCU with an eighth place finish in the hammer throw. Wokocha was the CACC Champion in the hammer and took second place in the discus. She's a junior with a 3.61 GPA in Biology.
Second-year Lions
Kaydence Fischer and
Adrianna Fodera each earned their first All-Academic Team nod. Fischer is also a conference champion, winning the discus while also scoring in the shot put and the hammer throw. She's studying Exercise Science with a 3.81 GPA. Fodera finished in the top-4 in three events at the conference meet, helping the Lions to a CACC Championship trophy. She is a Psychology major with a 3.83 GPA.
The seven men on the All-Academic Team are the most of any team in the CACC. It caps a year for the Lions in which they not only had the most All-Academic Team members, but won the CACC Championship and the CACC Sportsmanship award.
Of the seven men, five of them make the All-Academic Team for the second straight year as juniors.
Malicah Etienne led the charge as a 3.67 student in Criminal Justice while winning the shot put and discus competitions.
Ivan Ramos-Lopez and
Brandon Rudder also earned a spot on the podium while making the All-Academic Team. Ramos-Lopez. He finished in second place in the pole vault and is a Business Administration major with a 3.97 GPA. Rudder was all over the competition running in two open events and two relays. He placed second in the 200m dash while also taking fifth in the 100m and was a part of the fourth place 4x100m relay and fifth place 4x400m relay. Rudder is studying Finance and has a 3.75 GPA. This is his first time on the All-Academic Team.
Rudder wasn't the only member of the 4x100m relay team on the All-Academic Team.
Nick Jordan makes it as well for the second time as a junior with a 3.95 GPA in Marketing.
Three distance runners earned a spot on the All-Academic Team.
Ryan Pettrow is the only one to earn his second All-Academic Team recognition. He's a 3.80 junior studying Exercise Science. Pettrow scored in two events, finishing fifth in the 1500m and eighth at 800m.
Nolan Kus scored in two events for the CACC Champion Lions as well. He took sixth in the 10,000m and seventh in the 5,000. Kus is a graduate student with a 3.95 GPA in Business Administration.
Matthew Schaub competed in the 10,000m at the conference meet. The sophomore has a 3.72 GPA in social work.
