NEW HAVEN, Conn. (Sept. 22, 2026) - Another week and two more CACC Players of the Week for Georgian Court Men's Soccer. The Lions went 2-0 last week with one nonconference and one conference win to improve to 4-1-2 on the season.

While the Lions got major contributions all over the field, scoring six goals and allowing just one, it was Lennox Dorn and Yanis Achouri who stood out to earn conference awards. Dorn took home the league's Rookie of the Week while Achouri was named the Defensive Player of the Week.

Dorn's biggest contributions came in the Lions 5-2 win over Roberts Wesleyan. The freshman scored five total points with a pair of goals, including the game-winner, and an assist. They were the first points for Dorn in his career. 

Achouri stood out in multiple ways last week. Against Roberts Wesleyan, the second-year graduate student picked up two assists in the win. He then played 90 minutes on the back line as Georgian Court shut out No. 14 Post, 1-0. He also caused the key turnover that led to Georgian Court's game-winning goal.

For both Dorn and Achouri, this is their first career CACC awards. This season, Dorn becomes the first Lion to win Rookie of the Week while Achouri joins Tim Wilk as Lion defenders to nab CACC Defensive Player of the Week honors. Dorn is the first Lions freshman to be named CACC Rookie of the Weeks since Svante Haakansson did so twice in the 2024 season. 

In addition to Dorn and Achouri, Gijs van Eif and Lennox Blue Lebelt made the CACC weekly Honor Roll.

Georgian Court has a similar week to last week with a nonconference game Wednesday at Millersville before stepping back into conference play Saturday at home against Felician.
