LAKEWOOD, NJ (Sept. 25, 2026) - Georgian Court has started the 2026 season 3-0 at home and look to make it four straight in Lakewood as they host Felician this weekend.

Previously vs. Felician
• Georgian Court leads the all-time series 8-4-3 however the Golden Falcons have won two straight.
• That includes a 2-0 win in the CACC Tournament in 2024 before a 4-2 win last year in Rutherford. 
• The Lions led 1-0 at the half following a goal by David Tuschmann and Mikey Mallon made it 2-0 in the 56th minute.
• GCU still led 2-1 with four minutes remaining before the Falcons scored three times to steal the win.
• Playing at home, Georgian Court is 5-1-2 against the Golden Falcons. 

Last Time Out
• After the biggest win of the young season against Post last Saturday, the Lions had a bit of a letdown in their midweek match at Millersville.
• Playing against another regionally ranked opponent, the Marauders scored three goals in the first half on their way to a 4-0 win.

CACC Stat Leaders
• Georgian Court has deployed a potent offense through seven games. They lead the CACC in goals, assists and points and are top-30 in the nation in all three categories.
• The Lions 2.38 goals and 6.75 points per game lead the league as well. 
• GCU has done so while also taking some of the fewest fouls in the league. Their 9.50 fouls per game are the second fewest in the CACC.
• Individually, Gijs van Eif is sitting second with 1.88 points per game, which is top-20 in the country. His five assists lead the league.
• Sander Rynning and Leo Elder rank fourth in the league with three goals scored. 
• Lennox Blue Lebelt's 2.0 goals against average are sixth in the league. 

Individual Milestones
• Gijs Van Eif needs six more shots on goal to reach 100.
• Yanis Achouri's next game played will be his 20th. 
• Leo Elder needs 32 minutes to reach 100 played.

CACC Award Winners
• It was another multi-award week for GCU Soccer as they picked up the league's Rookie and Defensive Player of the Week.
• Lennox Dorn scored twice and had an assist in the win over Roberts Wesleyan for his first career Rookie of the Week honor.
• Yanis Achouri also picked up his first CACC Defensive Player of the Week award after helping blank the Eagles and recording two assists against Roberts Wesleyan.
• The two awards giving Georgian Court five Player of the Week awards so far this season. 

About Felician
• The Golden Falcons are looking for their first CACC win of the season. The come to Lakewood 1-4-3 and 0-0-1 in the conference.
• That conference draw was a 1-1 split at Wilmington last weekend who two weeks ago was receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches Poll, but had fallen out when the two met last Saturday.
• Of Felician's four losses, three have come by a single goal. Take away a 3-0 loss at #21 SNHU, and the Golden Falcons are just a -1 goal differential.
• Felician had one of the most dramatic comebacks anyone will ever see. Trailing at home to Lock Haven 5-1, Felician scored four goals in the final 2:41 to draw even. 
• Bartu Yakkan has a team-high three goals on the season.
• Felician has had nine different goal scorers this year. Yakkan and Michel Bose with two are the only ones with multiple goals.
• Mathias Kristofferson has gotten most of the playing time in goal recently. HE's started five games with a 1.32 goals against average and .750 save percentage.
• The Golden Falcons do have a tendency to get over aggressive. Their 23 yellow cards are the second-most in the CACC this season, and just one behind the league leaders. They're also committing more than 14 common fouls per game.
