KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Sept. 8, 2026) - Fueled by their best start since the 2021 season, Georgian Court Men's Soccer is making waves in the East Region.
GCU has started the season 2-0-2, their first time remaining unbeaten through the first four games since that 2021 season, and just the third time overall. As a result, the Lions have entered the United Soccer Coaches East Region rankings.Â
The Lions enter the rankings at No. 10 in the second week of the poll. The East Region consists of teams from the CACC, the ECC and the Northeast-10 conferences.
The CACC is proving to be a powerhouse in the early portion of the season. The Lions are one of four CACC teams in the top-10, along with four others from the NE10 and two from the ECC.
Most recently, the Lions completed a 2-0-0 week with wins over The College of Staten Island and Pitt-Johnstown. The win over CSI was the 100th win in the history of the program and for coaches
Dino Raso and
Robbie Fitzpatrick who have been here since the very first season.Â
Georgian Court is one of just three unbeaten teams remaining in the East Region along with Southern New Hampshire who sits atop the rankings and Pace, who are one spot ahead of the Lions at No. 9. The rest of the top-10 rankings sees Post sitting second, Franklin Pierce third, Wilmington fourth and Mercy fifth. Bridgeport ranks sixth with Queens seventh and Bentley eighth.
Among the Lions next three opponents, two are currently ranked in the top-10 in the region. They square off with Queens this Saturday night in Flushing, September 12. The following weekend they kick off CACC play at home against Post, Sept. 19.Â
