LAKEWOOD, NJ- The Georgian Court University soccer team won its season-high fourth straight game and secured its second shutout in a row with Wednesday afternoon's 2-0 blanking of CACC-rival Holy Family University (6-6-2, 4-2-1 CACC) at Investors Savings Bank Field.

Sophomore Alexa Niro (pictured) netted her first collegiate goal off a cross by sophomore Kelly Lyons just 44 seconds after entering the game in the 38th minute of play(37:38). Junior Shannon Mastrogiovanni scored her second tally of the season on a direct kick (51:53), solidifying the victory for GCU (7-5, 5-1 CACC). 

Lions goalkeeper, senior Lindsay Hammond  tallied nine saves on 17 total shots by Holy Family, earning her second consecutive shutout and fourth of the season. 

GCU looks to make it five straight this Saturday afternoon (12pm) at Nyack College (3-7-1, 2-5-1 CACC).
