BRIDGEPORT, CT- The Georgian Court University soccer team traveled north to the Nutmeg State Wednesday evening, falling to the Purple Knights of the University of Bridgeport, 3-0.

Bridgeport junior, Elin Svavarsdottir (Reykjavik, Iceland) gave the home team a 1-0 advantage with a goal at 11:44. Junior Linda Velaj (Stamford, CT) (56:01) and senior Sofia Hoflin (Ostersund, Sweden) (77:19) each netted second half tallies to secure the victory.

The Purple Knights (5-0-3) outshot the Lions, 25-8.

GCU (3-5) returns to CACC action this Sunday at 1:00 PM with a road contest at Dominican College.
