WILMINGTON, DE- The Georgian Court University soccer team won its second straight game and improved to 5-5 (3-1 CACC) with a 4-1 road victory at Goldey-Beacom College (0-8, 0-5 CACC), Tuesday afternoon.
The Lions recovered nicely from an own-goal 1:08 into the contest, netting four unanswered scores. Four different players registered tallies for GCU, including junior
Skyler Eiceman (pictured) (10:04), freshman
Taylor Reinecke, sophomore
Kelly Lyons (64:47) and sophomore
Candace Seaton. For Lyons, it was her conference-leading 10th goal of the season.
GCU goalkeeper,
Lindsay Hammond saved six shots for her fifth win of the year. She also assisted on Seaton's goal on a booming clear in the second half.
After playing seven of their past eight contests on the road, the Lions will play their next two games at home, Saturday at 1pm vs. Felician College and next Wednesday, October 7th, for a 4pm meeting with Holy Family University.
