The Georgian Court University soccer team tallied its first victory of the season with a 10-0 blasting of host-Lincoln University (1-3) Thursday afternoon in Lincoln University, Pennsylvania.
Nine different players tallied goals for GCU (1-2), including two by sophomore midfielder, Kelly Lyons. Junior midfielder, Shannon Mastrogiovanni, contributed a game-high three assists to go along with her first goal of the year. Senior goalkeeper, Lindsay Hammond, earned the shutout victory without having to make a single save.
Georgian Court went into the half with an 8-0 advantage after outshooting Lincoln, 19-0, in the first stanza and 23-1 overall.
The Lions take the field again next Thursday, 9/10, when they travel to the Nutmeg State of Connecticut for a contest vs. the University of New Haven at 4 PM.
