WATERBURY, CT- The Georgian Court University softball squad now has its longest winning streak (11 games) in seven years as the Lions traveled to Post University Thursday afternoon and swept the host-Eagles by the scores of 7-0 and 5-2. GCU last won 11 straight contests April 16-27, 2004.
Reigning NFCA National Pitcher of the Week and CACC Pitcher of the Week
Diana Sansevera registered her 19th career shutout in the opener, scattering four hits and three walks in seven innings to improve to 8-4 on the year. The Lions' ace also collected eight strikeouts in the effort.

Kelsey Cutler launched her conference-leading 7th long ball of the season in the fifth inning, a solo shot, which highlighted a 2-for-3 (2 R, 2 RBI) effort at the dish for the slugger. SS
Selina Santillo (1-for-2) provided a two-run double in the third frame for GCU.
In the nightcap,
Shannon Dukes (10-5) won her 10th straight decision as the Peoria, AZ native went the distance, allowing two runs on six hits and two free passes, while striking out five Post batters.
Santillo went to 2-for-2 at the dish, which included a solo home run in the fourth inning and a ribbie double in the fifth. DP
