NEW HAVEN, Conn. (June 16, 2025) - The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) finished up their 2025 spring academic award releases Monday afternoon. Today, the league announced the members of the Softball All-Academic Team.
In order for student-athletes to be eligible, they must have completed a minimum of two semesters at their current institution with a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.50* following the preceding term. They must also be a second-year student-athlete and have used a season of NCAA competition during the current season.
The Lions had five on the All-Academic Team, two sophomores, two juniors and one senior.
Both juniors make the team for the second time in their careers.
Janelle Blaszka has a 3.85 GPA in in Psychology and
Lia DeMaio a 3.53 GPA in Biology.
Sophomores
Cheyenne Jackson and
Julia Lapp make their first CACC All-Academic Team. Jackson is studying Psychology with a 3.80 GPA while Lapp has a 3.70 GPA in Exercise Science.
Senior transfer student
Kristy Regalado is eligible for the first time this season and made the team with a 3.90 GPA in Criminal Justice.
* The preceding academic term when grades were submitted was the Fall, 2024 semester. Grades from the Spring, 2025 semester were not included in the All-Academic team calculation.
