WATERBURY, CT- The Georgian Court University tennis team got its first victory under its proverbial belt Saturday afternoon as the Lions blanked host-Post University, 9-0.

Maria Leal (#1 singles, 6-0, 6-0), Sofia Sarkissova (#2, 6-0, 6-0), Sarah Lockenmeyer (#3, 6-2, 6-1), Nicole Way (#4, 6-0, 6-0) and Marian Rosado (#5, 6-0, 6-1) earned singles victories. For Rosado, it was her first collegiate win.

In doubles action, the tandems of Leal-Sarkissova (8-0) and Victoria Gaffney-Lockenmeyer (8-1) each triumphed. Two matches were forfeited by the Eagles (0-2) to account for the remaining two points.

Georgian Court (1-1, 1-0 CACC) welcomes Chesnut Hill College to the Ellen Mullane Gallagher Tennis Center Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 PM.
