LAKEWOOD, NJ- Visiting Molloy College got the best of the Georgian Court University tennis squad Saturday afternoon, defeating the host-Lions, 7-2, at the Ellen Mullane Gallagher Tennis Center.
Both of GCU's points came in singles play as Maria Leal defeated Nikki Gloria, 6-2, 6-1 in the No. 1 slot.
Nicole Way won her team-high fifth singles match of the season (5-6 overall), dropping Molloy's Gabrielle DiCroce, 6-4, 6-3, in the No. 4 position.
The Lions fall to 3-8 with the loss while Molloy improves to 4-9. Georgian Court returns to action Monday afternoon with a home match vs. Shippensburg University. Start time is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
